Welcome to Mathew Peet's web. Click here to listen to welcome message

I am currently working in the Russo group at the Medical Research Council's Laboratory of Molecular Biology investigating new materials and methods for the production of specimen supports for electron cryomicroscopy.
Earlier I worked in the phase transformations and complex properties research group working on characterisation, modelling and design of alloys suitable for use as engineering materials. For example, creating and developing blast and ballistic resistant, weldable steels. I also studied for a PhD in that group, working on nanostructured steels. I've also worked with Cambridge University Rolls-Royce UTC on modelling and design of nickel based superalloys.
